A below par performance from the Bwl saw them crash to a successive league defeat.
The Bwl started this game in similar form to that of their opponents, Gilfach Goch. Both had won 3 of their 4 league games to date and each had faced defeat at the hands of Newport Saracens.
There were several changes to the Bwl starting line up and the enforced alterations to the pack certainly resulted in their failure to dominate proceedings up front.
The Bwl found themselves 10 points adrift with less than a quarter of an hour of the game gone. Gilfach converted a penalty when the Bwl were caught offside, and a quickly taken line out caught the Bwl napping for the visitors first try of the afternoon.
Much of the remainder of the first half was played out in the middle of the field with neither side making inroads against each others defence. As the half time interval loomed outside half Richard Lloyd opened the Bwl scoring when he nipped over for a try which Nathan Ellis converted.

With the Bwl awarded a penalty early after the interval, number 8 Alun Thomas stepped up to level the score.
But from that moment on the visitors took control of the game, cleverly taking full advantage of the elements in their favour. And the Bwl looked a jaded side, giving up the cause seemingly too easily for the liking of their supporters.
Gilfach added 3 tries, the first 2 of which were converted, to earn a convincing bonus point win away from home.
